If you're here with me, then I'm guessing you're a fan of Squarespace too. Ease-of-use, updates are quick & easy, no need to keep up with security or plugin updates, and it's truly the most solidly built platform that has SO many features included right out of the box, with no extra subscription fees (shop, blog, analytics, forms, etc.).

That said, if you've been on the platform for a while, you've probably run into a few things you COULDN'T do with Squarespace, –without some custom code.

And while those things aren't necessarily deal-breakers (I've actually priced –and tried, if I'm being 100% honest here– moving to Showit), the competition just can't beat the all-in-one feature combo + price point that Squarespace offers.

    Then along came SquareKicker.*  🤯

If you haven't looked them up yet, DO IT. Their powerhouse of a plugin gives you extra, per block, per page, per section styling options that feel & work like Squarespace's own Site Styles, but offers tons of extra options that Squarespace doesn't.

Every change you make with SquareKicker is just SK actually writing the custom code for you based on the options you chose, AND backing it up for safekeeping, ––all while making sure you never have to write a line of code yourself.

Along with Squarespace’s (seemingly) constant UI updates, which I’m sure aren’t easy to keep up with as the base code changes, SquareKicker* is quite literally kicking ass and taking names as it both keeps up with the changes AND introduces new features we didn’t know we even wanted until we saw them. 😂

But enough talk; let’s dive into what’s new so you can stop wiggling in your seat. If I tease you any longer, you’ll skip this section & scroll down anyway, –am I wrong? 😉 Didn’t think so!

    Using the NEW section tools

With this new feature, you can easily customize the border styles, background colors, gradients & overlays for each section. Lemme show ya what I’m talking about for section dividers and split layouts.

    Using the NEW text tools

As you can see, SquareKicker introduced a really easy-to-use way to highlight your text, which we all know is a popular design style on modern websites right now! Take a look at how to set that up here:

    Adding Section Anchor Links

NOTE: This is a Beta Tool option ONLY available for those on SquareKicker’s Designer level plan, as of posting (Feb. 2021).

This makes creating anchor links EVEN simpler! No more code blocks with a custom HTML Div snippet, no copy/paste code, etc. And I swear the scroll speed is better, but maybe that’s just me? 😂 Here’s what it looks like:

If you want to be able to create Anchor links (same page links) in Squarespace, but you don’t have/don’t want to have the Designer plan for SquareKicker, you can learn how to add anchor links to your website pages over here.
