Lemme guess, your website gives you all these feels…
You hate sending people to your site, because it doesn’t represent you.
You spent hours tinkering with a DIY template, and it still feels “off.”
Tech stuff —SEO, mobile, forms, integrations— makes you feel like a deer in headlights.
You’re bleeding time, energy, sanity trying to keep things “just okay.”
You’ve hired designers before, were ghosted, or ended up with work you didn’t love.
Every time you look at your site, you feel uneasy — like something’s not quite right.
All of this is normal. And none of it has to be permanent. As a Squarespace web designer who’s been in the trenches — I’ve fixed it countless times & TBH, I’m pretty damn good at it.
Imagine a site that feels like you; where your clients land & say, “Wow, I wish I’d found her/him sooner!”

How custom Squarespace website projects work
•
•
Kickoff
I’ll guide you on what content to submit so we can hit the ground running. We’ll talk through your goals, review your inspiration, and get super clear on your business before I get started.
Design
I start with a homepage layout to lock in your vibe and strategy. Once you’re nodding enthusiastically, I build the rest of your custom Squarespace site, connect your systems, and make sure everything plays nicely together.
Refine
You get a few days of unlimited revision requests — send your tweaks, questions, and “can we try this?” ideas. I’ll make updates as they come in so your site feels just right.
Launch
I test, fix, and prep every detail before launch. Then I walk you through going live and hand over full ownership. You’ll also get a recorded training session + exclusive resources so you know exactly how to update your new site with confidence.

Is the math, math-ing?
Spoiler: DIY costs more than you think!
Find out what those ‘Fuck that! I’ll just do it myself’ months have really cost you — in lost time, energy, and sales. This little calculator shows how fast your investment in a Squarespace web designer can actually pay off.
When you hire someone who actually knows what the hell they’re doing (hi, that’s me 👋), you’re not just paying for pixels — you’re buying back time, confidence, and momentum.
Try the calculator, do the math, and then imagine what you could’ve earned if your site had been up and running all those months ago.
Save your results & share this calculator — tag @launchthedamnthing if you post it, so we can laugh together because we’ve ALL been there!
Frequently Asked Questions
Still wondering what it’s really like to work with a Squarespace web designer?
Let’s clear up the most common questions before you book your spot.
-
For custom website projects: Shortly after booking your spot, I’ll invite you to our collaborative portal where we’ll manage the project together. There you’ll have access to a single form that will help me establish your style preferences and submit your basic information, a direct line to ask me questions before the project, and upload your images, files, logos, etc. Ideally you can set aside 1-2 weeks to take your time submitting your website content, but you can actually do it in a weekend if you just enjoy being on a deadline. 🤭
For Design Days: Basically none. All you have to do is invite me as a contributor to your Squarespace website. We’ll have a Prep call together before your service date so I’m clear on what you want me to do, then on your service date I get to work. That’s it!
-
These are a (free) vibe-check for both of us, and time for me to pick your brain & see if my skill set is a match for your goals & website needs. If we’re in alignment, I can give you a ballpark quote on the call and ask if you need some time to decide or ready to book a spot in my calendar.
If you’re ready to do go, I’ll send the paperwork within a day or so.
If you’re not ready or need some time to think about it, I’ll check-in later but you’re not obligated to do anything you’re not ready to do.
-
Yes, of course! I love Squarespace because it’s easy for clients to work on and because editing content in it is drastically more time-efficient than other platforms like Showit, Wix, WordPress, and Webflow (etc).
For custom sites, not only will you own the website when we launch it, but I’ll provide training & educational resources for you to use afterward so you’ll feel fully supported & empowered!
-
In 20 years of designing, this actually rarely happens to me as a designer. Call it empathy, or a knack for reading between the lines, but what I’m particularly good at is creating designs that fit YOU.
Even if there’s something you don’t love, ––that’s what revisions are for!
During custom site builds, there’s dedicated time for refinement requests & a simple tool that makes requesting easy & unemotional.
During Design Days, I teach you how I edited what I did, and you have an optional training call included (if booked within your post-day support week) so you can make further edits yourself.
My goal is always to make sure you walk away with a site you love — not one you “settle” for.
-
DIYing your website demands a LOT more time, energy, focus, and trial-and-error than most people expect.
Hiring a Squarespace web designer (like me 🙋🏼♀️) gives you strategy, polish, and a launch-ready site much faster — so you can actually work on your business instead of chasing pixels.
Make an informed decision! Read this blog post & take the quiz to see which route is best for you right now.
-
Yes, for website packages: a non-refundable initial payment of 33% (or 25% if you want 4 installments) gets you locked into my schedule & goes toward your overall investment. The remaining balance is split into equal payments with the last payment due when the website launches.
For Design Days, you pay in full for the time block you choose when you book the service.
-
I handle all design inside Squarespace, so you’ll just pay your Squarespace hosting plan directly through your account. It can also host your domain if you choose.
If you already have a domain elsewhere, I can transfer or connect it to Squarespace for you.
If you already have hosting elsewhere, you won’t need it because Squarespace will be the new host.
We’ll discuss the best option for you after you book, and I’ll make it as easy as possible!
-
I don’t charge any ongoing fees once your agreed-upon design package is paid in full, unless you want to have an ongoing maintenance plan with me.
Squarespace charges an ongoing fee for their hosting plans, and for domains if purchased from them. Their fees are not covered in my design packages & you will be responsible for maintaining it in order to keep your website live.
I recommend using the Core package for hosting with Squarespace. See current pricing
Domains are usually around $20/year. Check domain availability
-
There aren’t any additional costs, unless:
You DON’T already have your website’s legal policies ready to go, in which case, legally you are required to have a Privacy Policy, and it’s recommended to also have Terms & Conditions and client agreements for each aspect of your business. Learn more about that here in #3 of that list.
You change Squarespace plans (upgrade) or add features to it, such as Member Areas, Squarespace Email Campaigns, Video hosting, etc.
Or if you add other third-party services (software) outside of Squarespace to connect to your website.

Nope! This is 1,000% a long-game strategy. Despite what you may have heard, ranking on Google or AI searches requires strategic & consistent effort over time.
I'm not an SEO (Search Engine Optimization) expert, but I have achieved page 1 rankings for specific keywords, which means I know the basics and will implement that for you as I build your website, which is just best practice.
If your goal is to be high-ranking on Google searches, I'd plan to hire an SEO expert or plan to use a reputable SEO tool in an ongoing capacity as these things take time to see results.

Yes, of course!
For custom website packages, you can split your payment into three installments (33% / 33% / 34%), or four if needed.
For Design Days, payment is due in full at booking to hold your date, but you can start with a half day and book another later if you want to effectively split it up into 2 payments.

Nope. Not anymore! I’ve designed on Showit, Shopify, and Webflow — but now I specialize exclusively in Squarespace web design.
