A Quick Note on Privacy & Analytics
Before you read through the full privacy policy, I just want to share a quick note about how I approach analytics on this site.
My goal is to process as little personal information as possible. That’s why I’ve chosen to use Fathom Analytics* (yes, that’s an affiliate link!) — a privacy-first alternative to Google Analytics.
Fathom doesn’t use cookies and complies with GDPR, ePrivacy (including PECR), COPPA, and CCPA. Your IP address is only briefly processed and anonymized, and I have no way of identifying you personally. Under the GDPR, the lawful basis for using this type of analytics is “legitimate interests” (Article 6(1)(f)): understanding how people use my site so I can keep improving it.
Other than that, I only collect personal information when you intentionally share it — like filling out a form, making a purchase, or subscribing to the newsletter. Any optional data or cookies are managed through the cookie consent settings on the site.
I’ve done my best to configure everything as privacy-friendly as possible using the tools available to me — but as a small business owner (and not a software engineer!), there may be elements I’m not fully aware of. If anything ever seems off, I’m always open to feedback, so please let me know.
Now, onto the full privacy policy below if you'd like more details!
